Chapter 126: Iason of the Void

\'What in the—?! Just what the hell is happening here?\'

Iason thought as he didn\'t know how to react on this situation when this woman suddenly said her piece as if it\'s nothing.

After the almost intense fight happened between the two of them are over, Iason finally released those people from his [Void Prison], a type of space ability that can imprisoned someone inside and had the ability to drain someone\'s lifeforce if the target stays inside for a long time.

That\'s why Rheina knew what kind of ability Iason had and for her not hearing her subordinates breathing outside of her office means one thing and they were all inside within that b*stard\'s [Void Prison].

\'I don\'t want to dwell that much and since no has been hurt then, I should just drop this and pretend that it didn\'t happen.\'

But that doesn\'t mean that the Lotus Killer would forgive Iason that easily. Although she had given an antidote for the poison after Iason released her subordinates within that disgusting [Void Prison] of his, the antidote she gave would only slow down the poison that he had gotten from her metallic chains.

However, he isn\'t fully healed yet and the poison hasn\'t detoxified within his body so there are times he would feel phantom pains from anywhere in his body, but Rheina didn\'t care about that.

\'Well, I\'ll just let him suffer for a bit then before I could administer the right antidote for him. Hmp! It\'s his fault anyway.\'

Iason, knowing that Rheina might have forgiven him for what he had done to her subordinates, but the woman knew how to hold grudges, and he knew that the antidote that was given to him isn\'t the completed one as he could still feel the poison within his body still lingers.

\'She hasn\'t change for a bit. Still petty as ever! Tsk!\'

Iason thought as he clicked his tongue in annoyance but then again, he almost forgot what he had heard from this woman.

About her relinquishing her rights and giving them to someone else.

Right now, they were at the woman\'s office after everything seems to be settled and when those woman\'s subordinates have been released from Iason\'s [Void Prison], the first thing they do is to check their master at her office to see if everything is alright.

Upon arriving, all of them noticed the familiar silhouette of a man who was responsible for trapping them into a void of nothingness and all of them almost prepared themselves to fightback if it weren\'t for their master to stopped both parties and ordered to retreat.

Of course, they had no choice but to obey their master but they still glaring holes at the man who was inside the office and the man seems didn\'t mind at all and just blatantly ignore their piercing glares.

\'If looks could kill, I have already dead on where I stood. These people are so aggressive when it comes to their master\'s well-being but that\'s only natural though.\'

Iason thought as he remembered the scene from earlier.

After that, Rheina take a good look of her subordinates and when she noticed that nothing had happened to them, she sighed in relief and then afterwards, she ordered them to go back to their respective tasks and the woman stated that if someone hasn\'t feeling well, take some rest.

Although reluctantly, they didn\'t have a choice but to obey and leave the office with a heavy heart but when they noticed that their other comrade and sister, Eden, was with their master\'s side, they felt assured that their master won\'t get hurt by that unknown man.

"What do you mean? It\'s my right if I want to relinquish my rights as one of the candidates and the one, I had given the [token] is worth for that place rather than mine."

Rheina said calmly as she sipped her tea that was served to them after the commotion that happened.

Iason, on one hand, sighed as he held his forehead to ease the headache he is feeling right now.

\'Well, what she said is the truth anyway. She could relinquish her rights to someone else and it\'s not only limited to family members though.\'

He knows for the fact that the Young Lady wouldn\'t relinquish her [token] to someone within the family, even to her biological little brother, whom she favored so much, she wouldn\'t give it to him.

\'For the Young Lady to relinquish her [token] to someone else, there must be a reason for it and for that one, I need to confirm it from her mouth.\'

"What made you decide for that to relinquish your [token] to someone else? Especially, an outsider with unknown origin that you suddenly give that person your [token]? There must be a reason, and I need to know that for me to decide as well."

Rhein laid her cup at the table as she looked at Iason\'s serious expression as he stated those words and she knew for the fact that she needed to tell him the reason or else, things would be complicated for Eclipse\'s side.

\'I know to myself that it\'s a reckless part of mine that I gave him my [token] but this is the only way for me to repay for what he had done for me so far. The thing about he help me about to cure my little brother\'s sickness and for purging those traitors within my clan wasn\'t that enough to repay him.\'

Also, having that [token] for him would determine his fate.

After all, he is no longer the Third Young Master of Marquis Chevalier household from Stellarus Empire.

The [token] that Rheina gave him would be a life-changing for him and besides, the Lotus Killer believe that Eclipse would be the perfect candidate for [that trial].

She took a deep breath as she said her reason; "Aside from the fact that both of us had an alliance for at least three years ago and I happened to help him about his problems from that time and in exchange, he helped me on the problems that I have before and both of us had benefited from that temporary alliance and should have been done after that."

She paused for a moment and the Lotus Killer directly looked straight into the man\'s eyes who seated on the opposite direction as her; "However, that alone isn\'t enough for what he had done so far. To help find a cure to my little brother\'s strange disease that has plague him for a long time, to my clan that he help me to purge those traitors and reclaim my rights from those rotten councils."

Rheina chuckled after she said those words as she reminisced those times where Eclipse had helped them a lot.

"W-wait. The young master\'s disease has been cured?!"

Iason said with a shock expression when he heard the news about the young master\'s unknown disease that has plagued him for so long.

\'If the young master has been cured then, why didn\'t the Young Lady relinquish her [token] to her own little brother but to someone else?\'

Iason thought for that moment and after that, he could only come up with a conclusion.

"You don\'t want the young master to participate in [that trial] so that you relinquish your [token] to the person who helped you a lot? Is that your only reason, young lady?"

Iason asked the woman in a perplexed tone and the Lotus Killer shook off her head and said; "Although that\'s only part of the reason and I\'m sure my little brother would understand me for this issue but that\'s not at all."

She explained and then stood up from her seat and walked towards the balcony of her office as she watched her subordinates doing their respective tasks with one another and smiled.

"He is the perfect one and I believe in his capabilities. He is a treasure, and I know he will pass [that trial] and I just hoped that you, IASON OF THE VOID, would do your duty as one of the GUARDIANS for [that trial] when the time comes."

She paused for a moment as she leave the balcony and then walked towards at the direction where Iason seated and then, the woman stopped her tracks three steps away from him.

"Also, I hope that you will give your support to the person that I have chosen for [that trial]. I am not forcing you to support him but rather, it will be better for you to check on him and see it for yourself. Would my reason be enough for your curiosity, hmm?"

For that reason, Iason could tell that the Young Lady had other reasons for her to relinquish her rights, aside from what she had stated earlier.

\'I know it\'s reckless for her to do that however, there wasn\'t a law that forbidden an outsider to participate in [that trial] however, that person would be at disadvantage, but the Young Lady told me that I should observe that person first and me see it for myself.\'
