Summoned and Unwanted

Chapter 263

The elf looked at the three little girls and told them to cover their ears. The three little girls nodded and covered their ears a second later. Whatever the elf was going to say next was a thing the girls shouldn’t hear, it seemed.

“She told me how blue-blooded demons can have their blood changed after having relations with a red-blooded person for a few days in the span of one year. The amount of relation seems to be based on the strength of the demon and their partner.”

“The demon succubus slave told me how the body takes one year to cleanse the non-demon substances in their body. But once demon goes purple, they can never revert back. ”

“These demons will become outcasts to blue-blooded demons. Even their parents will be alienated if they protect their none pure demon family member.”

“The demon succubus slave told me how she heard many demons call her a human lover, or a traitor, or even say how it’s better to die pure-blooded than living in shame.”

“But she can’t change her blood back. She can’t resist the orders given to her by her owners. I heard her say one day how she was forcefully awakened into a succubus, and she became glad that she is appreciated by someone at least.”

“... she might have been betrayed as well.”

The elf ended one of the many stories of her past. She revealed how succubus might be a class or a form change similar to the goblin’s awakening. Additionally, the demon beside Vincent might be one of those who want to die pure-blooded.

.....

“So you have chosen death because of this?” Vincent asked.

“Kill me.” She replied weakly.

“But is death what you really want? I can save your life as easy as counting to one, but you must stay with me for life. You see, the method can’t be revealed to anyone, and I need to keep you by my side not to have the secret revealed.” Vincent offered. But he knew the offer was going to get refused.

“I won’t trust a human ever again, and I will not submit to a red-blooded human.” The demon retorted weakly.

“Ohh! Is that it? Then you have no problem accepting my help if it’s, let’s say, Overheat.” Vincent started to change, and the room became warm. His eyes and gauntlet illuminated the dim room.

Vincent poked his arm, and green bubbling blood with faint green steam exited his tiny wound. He didn’t look like a human to the elf and demon staring at him with a shocked expression.

“I’m not a human now, am I? I can become a mutated human when I want. Can you trust me now?” Vincent asked with a hoarse voice.

The elf noticed the little girls become afraid of Vincent’s voice after the light made them curious to see and hear what was happening. She told them to cover their ears and reassured them it was going to be okay.

The elf managed to control the situation as Vincent’s soul-piercing gaze was making her feel uncomfortable.

The demon became shocked. “Your blood... is green!” She exclaimed as loudly as she could with her low voice.

[I think it’s enough. The little girls might cry, and the elf is slightly trembling. The demon, on the other hand, has received the message loud and clear.]

Vincent canceled his ability. His gauntlets, now made of clumps of Mutated Ash, shone green as they were immediately stored.

Vincent didn’t want to cause an accidental fire or worse. He might survive, but not them.

“Now, there should be no reason for distrust. Thus it would be best if you made a decision. Die pure or live a normal life by my side.”

“I would like you to choose the second option since I invested a lot of resources to heal you.” Vincent decided to approach the demon in a different manner. He decided to try the guilt tactic to inflict confusion and doubt in her thoughts to die as a pure-blooded demon.

Vincent didn’t want someone innocent to die because of the bastards above ground. Two heals were precious, but helping the demon made him feel the two days of Soul Power he lost were worth it.

“Demon woman, did you see Vincent change and heal you even if it isn’t his class? He is different from any human or man we saw in our lives. Vincent is a benevolent human, and if his words are to be trusted, he is planning to save us.”

“Vincent healed a demon he had never seen before. Not once but twice. Isn’t it a kind gesture, at least? Or do you think all humans want to shame you? ” The elf stated a few thought-changing words.

“I see that you have a keen eye. Indeed, I am not a healer, and I can only reveal the secret to those I trust with my life.” Vincent then looked at the demon and asked, “Is there something else about me you distrust?”

The demon frowned and kept her guard up. She was at a loss for words. It was the demon’s way to tell a human to go away because of their red blood. However, the situation is different in this case. A human with a different blood color was before her.

“I... I can save you, but... I don’t know if my method will keep your blood blue because of my method.” Vincent wasn’t sure if becoming a retainer with his classes influenced by each other would change her blood without their knowledge.

[I have similar thoughts about this matter. Your powers keep growing, progressing, and mutating as you live.]

[We don’t know what could happen at hundred percent Soul Synch nor when acquiring new skills or spells or resistances from Soul Synch.]

[You might even acquire more forms if you keep getting retainers and flirt with them.]

[In conclusion, the future is unknown and the possibilities as well. What we think now might happen or not. It’s not us who dictate the future. Its fate.]

-That’s why I didn’t want to lie to this demon. She suffered enough. I want to be a better person than these trash of wasted life.-

Vincent could see the demon was pondering about something, yet she kept looking afraid of his presence.

‘Why do I feel guilty if I don’t help her? I can save her, but I can’t have her reveal my identity. She will be cleansed of any conditions, and she will be able to act freely.’ He contemplated.

Vincent looked seriously and asked, “Why do you care about what others think? I heard what happened to you, betrayed and sold to human trash. I heard how badly you were treated and humiliated.”

Vincent raised his voice out of anger and continued, “They did this to you! Are you going to stay here? In this dark, damp room, or do you want to see them dead? Don’t you want revenge and pull the eyes of anyone who say your naked body? Don’t you want to see your parents again and tell them you are alive but want to live elsewhere because of my offer? ”

Vincent tried another way to converse with her. The demon, however remained silent with an angered frown starting to show. His words reached her, at least.

[This is one prideful demon. But you need to understand from her part as well. She will become an outcast the moment another demon sees her different colored blood. Think of her blood to distinguish and ally from foe or noble from commoner.]

“I wanted a blacksmith to join my group. Would you be interested?” Vincent offered. “I already have two humans, one beastman, one goblin, and one soul as my women. I don’t discriminate since it doesn’t make sense.”

“You are the first demon I have seen in my life, and I don’t know why humans and demons hate each other so much. But I don’t mind you joining us.” Vincent didn’t know what happened before when the book of heroes started the tale. The story began when the first hero was summoned, and nothing from before was mentioned.

The story starts with a humans vs demons. The first hero had to fight the demons to bring peace as the shady king, and his kingdom told him fake stories of what demons do to humans.

“You human with different blood want me to join you? Why? To abuse me like what the others did to me? Do you think my ugly body is to be played with? Is this not why you healed my throat to take your offer?” The demon said as she shivered whenever Vincent looked kindly at her. The thought of this being a performance to gain her trust and humiliate her was constantly on the demon’s mind.

Vincent wanted the demon to know about how not all humans are evil, and many humans can change.

“Do you know who saved the demons from extinction after he brought an end to the years of war? It was a human from another world that let the demons escape. He faked the massacre of any village, town, or main cities of the demons he set foot in.”

“So, let me ask you this. A human saved your ancestors’ lives. The human was summoned from another world to kill the demons. The hunter became the protector in the end.

Vincent revealed a part of the first hero’s story and told them how the hero chose to protect those he was summoned to kill.
