Summoned and Unwanted

Chapter 749 - 749 The fight against time begins

“Okay, but do not worry about me. I will not be baggage to everyone anymore. I will prove my worth and win.” Ester said with an unwavering voice. She wanted to overcome her limits, even if she could die with one hit.

“Lupa. You fight the with gladiator named Speedy. He is the one that is trading his shield for a second sword. However, be warned that he is faster than you imagine. You will have to go all out.”

Lupa slightly raised the white handkerchief to peek at her opponent and could see the gladiator with taller and more toned legs was her opponent. He was also grabbing the second sword as if he was interested in attacking without defending.

Vincent placed a vial on Lupa’s lips before telling her, “Drink this.”

Lupa drank the potion without asking any questions because she completely trusted Vincent. She soon felt bursting with energy. Her eyes were not stinging anymore, causing her to smile faintly.

“Kazumi mentioned that we can only take a potion each based on the rules. Furthermore, Kazumi told me she is ninety-five percent sure the person using the potion will lose their allotted one potion use.”

“Does that mean I can use the drink thingy the human on the moving chair sent us?”

Vincent raised his hand and gave Lupa a head pat on her soft white hair and furry wolf ears. “Yes. You can use the potion princess Anna left in the room for us to use. They will offer regeneration, and healing, and provide a boost of energy.”

.....

“I might want to keep this potion instead of using it, though, hehe.” Mimi joked. “I might be able to sell the potion for fifty silver coins or more.”

Lupa gently nodded with a grin on her face and her tail wagging. She was delighted to be the only one to receive a head pat. she also became cheerful to know that Vincent’s potion was given to her and not the other girls. She felt like a winner.

Furthermore, Lupa looked forward to meeting with Anna and thanking her for the potion that could allow her to keep fighting.

Vincent gently shook his head. “Mimi, I think you might need to use the potion.”

“Why?”

“While Lupa fights the fastest gladiator, I will take the gladiator beside him. He mutated a regenerative trait, and I am the best counter against him.” Vincent told Mimi.

Mimi glanced at the gladiator Vincent chose to fight. He was grabbing the second shield from Speedy and holding it as he was ready to go boxing.

The large swole Punchingbag with shields instead of boxing gloves was going to become a very durable and annoying opponent for Vincent.

Mimi looked at Vincent and licked her lips as if she wanted to have a little bit more blood. “Does that mean my opponents will remain the same?” She asked.

“Unfortunately, yes... ”

“Hehe. Don’t worry about me.” Mimi looked in the direction of her father. “I have lived for a long time, and I have a lot of experience under my belt. Additionally, my father is watching me. I can not disappoint my family and the father I have recently reconciled with. ”

“Do not underestimate them, Mimi. All the gladiators can be considered B Rankers or even A Rankers in terms of power. They also have mutated power.”

“Don’t worry, Vincent. Berserkers will lose their life at the cost of power.” Mimi placed her hands on her waist and confidently suggested, “No matter what level their power is, if we can waste their time, we can win even if we do not injure them once.”

[Mimi is correct in this regard. They are very strong now, but the longer they are in their current berserk state, the more exhausted and the more mistakes they will make.]

“The more we waste their time, the more mistakes they can make.” Vincent glanced at his opponent and added, “However, remember that if they overpower anyone of you, Zero can help you. I can also use a few heals if needed.”

Ester, Lupa, and Mimi nodded.

“Ladies and gentlemen. Hold firmly to your seats because I believe things are not going to turn well for the Lionheart family’s side. They appeared to be dominating at first, but now the tables have turned against them.”

“Hehe.” The representative of the five noble families snickered. “Why don’t you say how all five of them are going to be beaten to a paste.”

“Looks like you feel delighted to see the five gladiators use their lives to become stronger. Then how about this? How about we make a bet?” Darwin suggested.

“A Bet? And what are you going to bet?”

“I bet one of my mansions that the Lionheart team will overcome this challenge. The reason? I am starting to get annoyed with your half-baked answers. I am willing to lose a lot in order to have my curiosity satisfied.”

The repressive slyly grinned as if he could already taste victory. As if he was undoubtedly confident the Lionheart team was going to lose, with no questions asked.

Darwin did not wait for the representative to suggest, “How about you become my slave? Don’t worry. I will treat you well.” with a poker face.

The overconfident representative unhesitantly responded, “I will take you on the offer. It is not every day I can receive a nice property for free since my clients’ slaves will most definitely win.”

“Ladies and gentlemen!” the commentator exclaimed. “Wow. Things are getting heated up even in here. Now I wonder who will win the bet because the judgment by combat is getting exciting by the minute.”

While the commentator was hyping the audience, Darwin swiftly and secretly took out a small unique piece of paper from his pocket.

Darwin used his mana to write a short message on the surface on the unique paper that allowed people with great mana control to write words on them. The words would fade in time, so Darwin had to hurry with his intentions.

A nearby royal mage keeping an eye on Darwin, the commentator, and the representative noticed Darwin drop the small piece of unique paper on the ground.

The royal mage secretly manipulated the wind to move the note to a disguised royal solder. The paper later arrived in the royal area.

The king was pleased with Darwin’s plan to interrogate the representative and force him to spill everything he knew, but such a plan could only work if the Lionheart team won and the representative was not dead before the slave contract was completed.

“The Lionheart team will win. ” Anna stated in a pleasant tone.

“Ho ho. They have to win.” Luciano said as if he was implying the consideration of saving Ester at the cost of his life.

“That damn daughter better stop playing around and start fighting for real. ” Vlad added.

Ester, Lupa, Vincent, and Mimi stood about a meter away from their chosen opponents.

Awa shot her body like an arrow and landed a mighty drop kick to its stomach. The tendrils quickly moved to bind one leg, causing the bear about to take a step back to lose its balance.

*Boom!* The loud sound of a huge body falling and the shaking of the ground was the signal for the second round to begin.

Ester, Lupa, Vincent, and Mimi rushed to attack.

“Hahaha.” The representative started laughing out loud. “Why are they hurrying? The potion the t drank will also allow them to perform about twice as the normal berserker. They can fight for a much longer time than any berserker can.”

However, such information did not make Ester, Lupa, Vincent, and Mimi the slightest intimidated by such information. They didn’t care because they already knew the five people became monsters for the sake of powering up.

Ester listened to Vincent’s warning and covered her body with wind sigil tattoos to increase her movement instead of earth sigil tattoos. The chances of taking a hit head-on were dangerous with the protection of the earth sigil tattoos. Evading each and every attack was Ester’s goal of survivability.

Ester saw Bloody swinging at her. She became shocked at the swiftness of the swing, causing her to remember the current opponent was larger, twice stronger, twice faster, and twice perceptive.

Ester opened her legs and swiftly performed a split, sliding underneath the large swole Bloody. She moved her body to roll and stood up with a handspring.

*Bam* Luciano hit his armchair with his old wrinkly fist after seeing Ester touch her hair and watching the sword swing too close to her head.

Speedy bolted to attack Lupa. He raised both arms, and when he reached striking range, he swung his blades at the blindfolded wolf girl.

However, unlike what Speedy expected, Lupa was not killed. Instead, her arms became blurry before sparks, and tiny fragments of Lupa’s claws appeared.

Speedy frowned. He swiftly swung his arms at incredible speed. Many of the audience could not keep track of at least half of his attacks. Yet Lupa, his opponent, could see all of his attacks.

Even though Lupa could not outspeed Speedy, she had already fought against Vlad, a vampire who not only was far faster but also spent centuries living with a fast body. Lupa also sparred with Lucas, a divine paladin faster than Speedy.
