A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 39

“Boy, did you know this is domestic violence?” Richard also sulked like his daughter while rubbing his shoulder, which felt burning from his wife’s blow.

Anxia’s pair of eyes widened with fury staring at Richard without being able to say anything.

Richard smirked at Anxia’s red face, who was sure her anger would explode if he continued his pranks. In the end, Richard decided to stop and headed for the wheel.

Seeing Richard return to the driver’s seat and discontinue his childish behavior. Anxia breathed a sigh of relief. She would lose her sanity if she were with Richard all the time without being able to get back at him.

After all, why did her daughter have to look innocent and stare at her with puppy eyes like this? She couldn’t even be mad at the girl even though Lori gave her support to Richard indirectly.

Luckily Anxia didn’t know what was going through her daughter’s mind at the moment.

From the start, Lori had taken a photo on purpose and also... ahem... pretended she couldn’t hold the bar right when she counted three.

She was so sure her parents were making out like any other married couple, that’s why Lori didn’t look back and pretended to crouch down and play with her mother’s phone.

.....

But who would have thought she would hear Richard groaning in pain? Lori immediately knew her mother was the cause as she knew her mother very well.

The bright and quick-witted Lori remained clueless. She even deliberately sulked and was filled with curiosity so that her mother wouldn’t suspect her.

Poor Anxia. Even her own daughter managed to trick her far more subtly than her husband, who set her up with his game.

If the only opponent was Richard, Anxia could continue to find a way to get out and leave the man behind. But her opponent was her own daughter.

Even if she knew Lori had tricked her by putting on an innocent face like an angel, Anxia doubted whether she had the heart to stay mad at her or not.

“Mommy? Are you feeling sick?”

Anxia sighed and then shook her head in resignation. Anxia glanced around by chance because it was her first time seeing the shape of a building in this country.

She had been to Holland once to carry out a mission from her master. But that time, Anxia came in the middle of the night and killed the target of her mission before heading straight back to Hong Kong.

That’s why she has yet to have time to look around or take a walk in this fairytale-like land.

The buildings here were more classic and showed the characteristics of ancient nobility compared to the Germans. In Germany, the facilities were much more modern and had several malls in big cities.

Well, maybe this country had one or two malls, but surely this town didn’t have one.

Anxia glanced at Lori, who was now also looking at the building with sparkling eyes and a big smile. Just looking at her daughter’s smile, her fury heart caused by Richard’s pervert action was gone, and she wasn’t as angry as a few minutes ago.

Anxia looked to the left, where pedestrians were passing by. Some rode bicycles by ringing the bicycle bell to warn pedestrians. The atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful, and the weather that day was neither heated nor cold. It was a perfect day to row through the waterways of this canal.

But suddenly, Anxia’s heart seemed to stop beating when she noticed a pair of eyes watching her, and she recognized the person’s face very well.

A man wearing a black jacket and sunglasses looked at her with a knowing look and an evil smirk. Her expression was calm and unchanging, but in truth, Anxia’s back broke out in cold sweat.

“Let me see! Something...” Lori’s words stopped for a moment when she saw the movement of her mother’s hand below.

Her mother twisted her index finger downwards, then opened the other finger before closing it into a fist-like. Then she opened her index finger and pointed at Richard. Then she raised her thumb and bent forward in the same direction as Richard.

Anxia had ensured that only Lori saw her finger codes, and neither Richard nor that black-coated guy saw it.

As soon as she finished making the secret code move for her daughter, Lori immediately walked over to Richard.

“Daddy, I want to try it too.”

Richard still didn’t know what had happened behind her and smiled as he carried Lori into his lap. He also led Lori’s hands on the steering wheel and then turned around, making Lori laugh with satisfaction.

“What is it? Why did you stop talking?”

“I saw someone flying paper earlier.”

“Paper?” Richard turned to the right, where Lori had previously seen the scene. “Ah, it’s not a paper, sweetheart. It’s called a kite.”

“Kite?”

“Hmm. You’ve never played a kite before?”

“Nu-uh.”

“Then we will go to the beach and fly kites there on Sunday. Do you like that?”

“Yeah!!”

Richard and Lori were still talking like a normal father-daughter, while Anxia just sat quietly at the back. She gave the impression that she was a stranger to the father-daughter duo in front of her.

Her expression was flat, and there was no trace of her nervousness or fear. Her hands were trembling as she gripped the fabric of her. Her back was sweating as if the weather around here was burning hot.

In truth, Anxia wasn’t scared because of that guy’s sudden appearance. She was scared that her master knew about Lori’s existence and tried to kidnap her to control her.

Lori is her beloved baby girl, little angel, and sole weakness. Anyone could control her once they got their hands on Lori.

Luckily Lori didn’t look like Anxia, but she looked like Richard. So the guy believed Lori was Richard’s daughter and not hers. That’s why she coded Lori to stay away from her and cling to Richard.

Only the two knew about the secret code, and Lori would obey without asking.

Ugh! She didn’t expect Master Yu would send his right-hand all the way to catch up with her.
