A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 217 - 217 Ch. 217 Dangerous Alarm

“What are you looking at?” asked the boy with curiosity, seeing Lori lift her head to see the sky.

“Cloud bunny, ” replied the little girl, showing the cloud she had seen earlier. “Louis, do you have a sister?”

“No.”

“Aren’t you lonely?”

“No.”

“Do you want to have a baby brother?”

“No.”

“Why?”

.....

“Because a little brother is troublesome.”

“Why?”

Louis didn’t answer for a while, but Lori kept bugging him and asking many whys. “Why is it troublesome?”

With a heavy sigh, the boy answered, “Just imagine... you won’t be able to understand what a baby is saying. And your ears will hurt when you hear a baby screaming at home.”

“Isn’t that what all babies do? Besides, I like crowds.”

Louis shook his head, “I like quiet more.”

Lori kept her mouth shut because she didn’t want to be seen as a noisy child when she found out that her friend preferred quiet.

“But I don’t mind you making a scene,” added Louis with a friendly smile.

“What? What do you mean?”

“You can throw a tantrum or fuss over small things.”

“Hey!” Lori pouted as she didn’t expect her friend to see her like some annoying child. “I never fuss over little things—I’m a sweet child. Everyone loves me!”

“Yeah. You’re a sweet child.”

“I am also an obedient child.”

“Yes, you are.” Louis deliberately agreed to whatever Lori said, making the girl smile happily.

“But I still want to have a brother.”

Louis had a great idea when he noticed his two rivals were having fun playing with toy cars on the school terrace. “If you want to have a brother, you can become their older sister,” stated Louis while pointing in one direction with his index finger.

Lori turned her head to see what Louis pointed to see Cliver and Jackson were fighting over the toys. “Them? Why should I?”

“A good older sister should be able to deal with her younger siblings who are fighting. Show your parents that you can be a good big sister. Maybe they will give you a brother.”

“Really?” Lori’s green-purple eyes glistened with hope, and she immediately stood up to approach her two classmates, quarreling over one of the toy cars. “Cliver, Jackson, you two can’t fight. Aren’t there so many toys? Why fight?”

“Lori, come play with me.” Cliver pulled one of Lori’s hands to his side.

“No, Lori, come play with me.” And Jackson pulled the other.

Lori gaped widely because she didn’t like playing with toy cars.

‘I don’t want to have a brother!’ Lori screamed in her heart, then turned and walked towards Louis the second she broke free from the boys.

“Louis, I don’t want a brother. I want a sister.”

“I have a baby sister,” Jackson exclaimed in a proud voice, attracting Lori’s attention.

“That’s nice. I wish I could have one too.” Lori was blue once again, realizing she didn’t have any siblings.

“You can be her sister if you want.” Jackson’s suggestion was full of hope that Lori would often visit his house to play with his new sister after this.

That way, Jackson would become Lori’s closest and best friend.

“That’s not a bad idea. Jackson will be your brother, then,” stated Louis as if it was the most obvious fact. He was still sitting on the bench and now knelt to see his friends behind the chairs by propping his head on his hands that rested on the back of the chair. His amused smirk was quite annoying in Jackson’s eyes.

“Wow, that would be so much fun. I don’t have a brother, so I’m happy to have you as my brother,” Lori exclaimed happily while flashing her widest sweetest smile.

Not only did she get a little sister, but she also got a big brother. Even though they didn’t have the same birth parents, she still felt like she got a jackpot prize!

On the other hand, Jackson made a sullen face. “But I don’t want to be your brother.”

“Why? Is it because I’m naughty? But Louis said I was a sweet and obedient child.”

Instantly Jackson glanced at Louis, and the boy shrugged his shoulders before dropping them back with a look like saying, ‘What did I do wrong?’

Jackson was too speechless to the point he didn’t know how to respond.

“Lori, aren’t you going to Kensington Park today? Incidentally, my dad and mom will also take me there. How about we meet there this afternoon?” Cliver’s sudden and unexpected invitation made Louis frown.

“Okay. See you there.” With a happy heart, Lori accepted her friend’s invitation and waved her hand when she saw that Cliver’s mother had come to pick up the boy.

“I’m also going to Kensington Park,” shouted Jackson, who didn’t want to be outdone and then walked over to his father, who had arrived to pick him up—leaving Lori and Louis.

“You must be happy to be able to play with your family,” expressed Louis once the two annoying boys had left.

“Of course. Aren’t you too?”

“No. I’m often alone at home.”

“Aw… you must be lonely at home.”

“Not really. I am used to.”

“How about you come with me? After all, we have Jackson and Cliver coming after us. I’ll tell Miss Dee to tell your family you’re coming with us.”

Without hearing Louis’s answer, Lori ran inside to find Miss Dee. Unbeknownst to her, the Louis family’s driver had come to pick up the young master.

“You can go back now. I’m going home with my friend.”

“As you wish, young master.”

Not long after, Richard and Anxia arrived at their daughter’s school, and Richard’s arms opened when he saw his daughter running fast toward him.

“Daddy!”

“Hey, my baby girl. Did you enjoy your school today?”

“Yes! Dad, aren’t we going to Kensington Park today? Can Louis come with us?”

Louis? Richard only realized a boy was standing not far from them. For some unknown reason, a dangerous alarm rang in his head.

‘Some weird boy tries to get close to my daughter!! Over my dead body!!’
