Love So Sweet

Chapter 33

Using this reason, Bai Qi had successfully avoided the little fairy. Each time that he recalled how Li Xue would call him Brother Bai Qi with her sweet voice, his heartbeat would accelerate and his mind would go blank.

Bai Qi thought that this would be a good chance to avoid Li Xue while figuring out what was going on with himself.

Meanwhile, Zhang Li Xue was frustrated when she could not practice at school. Fortunately, she could still coax her Uncle Wei Jun Hao to accompany her to practice at home.

On the weekend, Zhang Li Xue was studying with her Aunt Yu Ying when her mother told her that Mu Zhen Yu and his mother had arrived.

After her father had an accident, the two of them had not visited each other’s house to play. Therefore, Zhang Li Xue was surprised to hear that the boy had come over.

When she walked into the living room, Zhang Li Xue saw that Mu Zhen Yu was sitting on the sofa while looking after his baby brother. At the side, their mother was chatting about this and that.

.....

“Li Xue, come over,” Li Qin Yao called when she saw her daughter.

Instantly, everyone in the room turned to look at her.

Mu Zhen Yu’s eyes lit up when he saw her. Although they often see each other at school, he did not have much time to talk to her. The little girl was always with Bai Qi for practice and later, she would be surrounded by her classmates.

He heard from the others that Zhang Li Xue was quite popular among her classmates. Because she was easy to talk to and would not mind befriending anyone, everyone liked her a lot.

Now that Zhang Li Xue was in front of him, Mu Zhen Yu realized that the last time he had talked to her was to confront her about Bai Qi.

However, Zhang Li Xue had chosen to forgive Bai Qi for what he had done in the past.

Later, each time that he saw both Li Xue and Bai Qi together, Mu Zhen Yu would feel uncomfortable.

In the end, he did not dare to approach Li Xue and talk to her at school. When his mother tell him that they were going to visit Zhang’s residence, Mu Zhen Yu was both afraid and excited.

He wanted to play with her but was afraid that she was going to reject him.

Mu Zhen Yu watched as Zhang Li Xue walked over and smiled.

“Hello, Auntie,” Zhang Li Xue greeted Mother Mu politely. Then, she turned to Mu Zhen Yu and smiled brightly. “Brother Zhen Yu, hello.”

Mu Zhen Yu could only give her a slight nod. He let out a breath of relief upon seeing that the girl was still willing to talk to him.

“Li Xue, come over. Let me look at you properly,” Mother Mu waved her hand. “I haven’t seen you in a while. It seemed that you have gotten prettier.”

Zhang Li Xue smiled happily upon receiving Mother Mu’s praise. Her gaze finally stopped at the baby in Mother Mu’s arms. The baby was staring back at her with his eyes wide. His lips moved as if to say something, in the end, the baby was only spitting bubbles.

Mu Zhen Yu’s little brother was cute. In the past, she was jealous that Mu Zhen Yu had such an adorable sibling.

However, when she thought of her little sibling in her mother’s tummy, Zhang Li Xue was no longer as jealous.

After exchanging a few words with Mother Mu, the girl then turned to look at Mu Zhen Yu.

Her head tilted to one side.

Zhang Li Xue could not help but think that there was something different about Mu Zhen Yu. “Brother Zhen Yu, why are you so quiet?”

In the past, Mu Zhen Yu was talkative. The moment he saw her, he would drag her over to play. Seeing him sitting quietly at the side made her wonder if he was unwell.

Zhang Li Xue walked over to him and placed her hand on his forehead. The crease between her brow gradually disappeared when she could not feel any abnormality in his temperature.

His face reddened upon noticing that the girl was too close to him. Mu Zhen Yu took a step back and spoke, “I’m fine.”

“It has been a while since he come over to play with you,” Mother Mu spoke. “Perhaps, he’s a little shy.”

Mu Zhen Yu shot a disapproving look at his mother. The boy was unhappy that his mother had spoken his thought out loud.

“Brother Zhen Yu, the other day, I saw your rehearsal performance with your classmates,” Zhang Li Xue said. “You were playing as the woodcutter in Little Red Riding Hood.”

Mother Mu heard her words and was interested to know more about her son’s performance. “Li Xue, have you seen it? How was he? Did he act properly?”

“Auntie... Brother Zhen Yu and his classmates had worked hard for the performance,” Zhang Li Xue said. “You have to come and see his performance. Then, you can also watch me singing with my classmates.”

“Li Xue is going to sing with your classmates as well?” Mother Mu asked.

“Un. Zhang Li Xue nodded. “Auntie, you definitely have to come and watch.

Mother Mu laughed happily. “Of course. I will come to watch yours and Zhen Yu’s performance.”

Zhang Li Xue smiled happily when she heard Mother Mu’s words.

Mu Zhen Yu pursed his lips as he watched his mother and the little girl chat happily. After a while, he finally stretched his arms and held the little girl’s hand. “Li Xue, let’s go and play together, alright?”

Mother Mu was speechless when her son suddenly made his move. She was still talking to the little girl. Unexpectedly, her son would take the girl’s attention away.

A soft sigh escaped her. Then, Mother Mu flashed a gentle smile. “Alright. The two of you should go and play.” She looked at her son and spoke, “Mom still has some matters to discuss with Li Xue’s mother.”

Mu Zhen Yu nodded before pulling the girl’s hand to the side where they often play with her toys.
