Love So Sweet

Chapter 113

It was always interesting to see many choices of breakfast items that they can choose from.

Zhang Li Xue and Fang Su Jin had long planned to stay around the coffee house longer and try each interesting food.

As they were chatting, Zhang Yi Hai and the triplets showed up.

After walking around the buffet, the four of them returned with their plates. The group sit around, planning what they wanted to do next before they would head back to the city.

Many people come over to the hotel’s coffee house for breakfast a while later.

Zhang Li Xue looked at the tables around her and was glad that she decided to come earlier. Otherwise, it would be hard to find a seat.

“Can we sit over here?”

Hearing the familiar voice, Zhang Li Xue and the others looked up only to see their Uncle Qi Zheng holding a plate in his hand.

.....

“Uncle Qi Zheng,” the group greeted him almost simultaneously. “Good morning.”

Zhang Li Xue shifted her gaze and saw that Bai Qi was looking at her.

“The coffee house is almost packed,” Qi Zheng said. “I thought, it would be better to join you guys than a bunch of academicians.”

Wei Zi Kai smiled, “Of course, you and your student can sit with us as well. Coincidentally, there are two more seats available.”

Hearing the answer, Qi Zheng placed down his plate before urging Bai Qi to do the same.

“Thank you,” Qi Zheng said. “We won’t be staying too long. The two of us will still need to join the conference later.”

“Uncle Qi Zheng, it’s fine,” Wei Zi Ming said. “Just eat slowly.”

Zhang Li Xue lowered her gaze as she listened to their conversation. She glanced at Bai Qi and noted that the man only took very little food.

“Doctor Bai, is the food in the hotel not to your liking?” Zhang Li Xue asked.

Hearing his sister’s question, Zhang Yi Hai began to look at the young doctor. Thinking that this man was his uncle’s student and a doctor who had helped his sister previously, Zhang Yi Hai decided not to let his mind wander.

“I don’t have a habit of eating large breakfast,” Bai Qi said. The corner of his lips turned up slightly.

Since the little fairy was talking to him, then, it should mean that she had really forgiven him and accepted him as her friend.

This was good enough.

He could take things slowly to regain her trust again. Bai Qi reminded himself not to make another mistake with her.

Zhang Li Xue glanced at the food that Bai Qi had chosen again. It seemed that there were a lot of greens on his plate. Then, she was reminded of the healthy snack that the young doctor had kept in his drawer.

Zhang Yi Hai followed his sister’s line of gaze and smiled. “Sister, you should learn from Doctor Bai. You see, he eats a lot of vegetables.”

His words annoyed her greatly that Zhang Li Xue could not help but poke at his brother’s waist. Just like that, the siblings started to quarrel and the others began to laugh at this scene.

Bai Qi watched the siblings with a faint smile on his lips.

However, a while later, he began to notice that someone was looking at him.

While the others were not paying attention, Bai Qi shifted his gaze and looked at the girl beside Zhang Li Xue.

When he saw her last night and heard her name, Bai Qi had already recognized her.

Zhang Li Xue’s deskmate, Fang Su Jin.

Fang Su Jin would sometimes come over to the gymnasium to watch Zhang Li Xue’s basketball practice. However, the two of them did not have much interaction.

Back then, he was a senior with a not-so-good reputation. Therefore, there were a lot of kids who would often avoid him.

Bai Qi did not mind that. As long as his little fairy was willing to play with him and be his friend, he would be satisfied. He did not care much about what others would think about him. He realized that he has been a naughty boy and had created those bad reputations himself.

Noticing that Fang Su Jin was watching him with a curious look in her eyes made him worry.

Bai Qi wondered if Fang Su Jin would remember him.

If she did, would she tell Zhang Li Xue about it? What would Zhang Li Xue do then?

Bai Qi was feeling rather complicated.

He wanted his little fairy to remember her first teammate. At the same time, he was scared of letting her know the truth.

Would she be angry that he chose not to bring up this matter?

Taking a deep breath, Bai Qi lowered his gaze and continued to eat his breakfast before Fang Su Jin would suspect anything.

After finishing his meal, Bai Qi decided to excuse himself. He told his mentor that he had left something in his room and informed him that he will find him in the conference room.

Once he got farther from the coffee house and arrived in front of the elevator, Bai Qi finally let out a breath of relief.

“Doctor Bai.”

His body stiffened the moment he heard the voice. Bai Qi turned around slowly and forced a smile when he saw Fang Su Jin standing in front of him. “Hello, is there anything I can help you with?”

Fang Su Jin gave the man a look over. Then, she flashed a smile. “I’m sorry for disturbing you. It was just that, I have a few questions that I need to ask.”

Bai Qi tightened his hand into a fist as he tried to steady himself. “Please, go ahead.”

“Have we met before?”

Bai Qi studied the girl’s face for a while before answering, “Sorry. At least, I don’t think I’ve ever met you before Miss...”

“Fang. My surname is Fang.” Fang Su Jin continued to scrutinize the person in front of her. Although the man looked familiar, she could not remember him at all.

Not wanting to be rude, Fang Su Jin quickly retracted her gaze. “I’m sorry. It was just that, you look a little similar to someone I know.”

“I have an ordinary look,” Bai Qi spoke. “Perhaps, I look like someone you have passed by on the street before.”

Just in time, the elevator door swung open.

Bai Qi flashed another smile at the woman and excused himself.
